Our WCES Pre-K students are enjoying some free play outside! Through play, they are learning to share, take turns, communicate with friends, solve problems, and build important social and motor skills—all while having fun!
We love seeing our youngest Wildcats learn, grow, and show their Paw PRIDE! 🐾

Tuesdays are Club Days at WCES! Our 4th and 5th grade Wildcats get to choose a club that interests them and spend time exploring new activities, building friendships, and developing important skills. From teamwork and communication to leadership, creativity, problem-solving, and perseverance, our students are learning skills that will help them both in and out of the classroom! We love seeing our Wildcats make choices, try new things, and show their PAW PRIDE while having fun! 💜💛🐾

Ms. Gentry’s Kindergarten Wildcats are discovering that numbers can be made in so many different ways!
Today, students explored different ways to show these numbers. For example, 4 can be shown with 4 fingers on one hand—or 2 fingers on each hand!
Hands-on learning makes math fun while helping our Wildcats build number sense and understand that there’s more than one way to represent a number!
That’s Paw PRIDE in action! 🐾💜💛

Ms. Oldson is working on dictation with our 2nd Grade Wildcats! Students first wrote the sentence independently, giving them an opportunity to apply their phonics and writing skills. Then, Ms. Oldson modeled the sentence for students so they could compare their work, make corrections, and strengthen their understanding.
We love seeing our Wildcats actively engaged in their learning and building confidence as writers! 💜💛🐾

Their morning message helps set the tone for a positive day of learning, kindness, and showing our Wildcat PRIDE. We love seeing our Wildcats learn that kindness matters—every single day! 🐾

Today during Wildcat PRIDE Academy, our students took ownership of creating a positive classroom environment! After reviewing our schoolwide expectations last week, students worked together today to develop classroom rules that reflect our Wildcat PRIDE values.
We love seeing our Wildcats take responsibility, share their ideas, and help create classrooms where everyone can P—Practice Respect, R—Responsibility, I—Integrity, D—Determination, and E—Excellence! 💜💛🐾
